JD Arrival: Prowls Win

Popular amongst DWSHL GMs, Jacksonville head man Brian Pate has etched his name into the elite, winning the 2006 Drunks Cup over the Wainwright Bison. The Prowlers run was sparked by the play of deadline acquisitions including goaltender Roman Turek. Still, Pate had the jewels to gamble in Game 7 placing the title hopes on the shoulders of backup Dwayne Roloson in hopes of knocking off a tired Dominik Hasek. It was a hard fought game but the Prowlers used four first period goals to outdo future Hall of Famer Dominik Hasek and a young Bison club. Congratulations are in order for the 2006 DWSHL Champion Jacksonville Prowlers.
